Please report new issues or feature requests on our issue tracker!
The work on making this a full-blown GitHub based project originally outlined in this answer is now complete. All further feature requests and bug reports should be directed at the GitHub issue tracker.
And if you had raised an issue in the comments or answers below, and it's still ...
status-completed (used this fix in V1.2.9)
Some people are experiencing a problem where the auto link does not appear. This has to do with the fact that the DOM elements on which the selector is based are dynamically loaded into the DOM.
The workaround for this is to change line 683 to:
$('#' + divid).find('.comment-help-link')....
feature-request status-completed (GitHub issue)
Can we have the auto link appear when completing a custom "off-topic" closure reason?
Bonus points if we can declare certain auto-comments to apply in this scenario (e.g. mirroring the "A" and "Q" prefix for answers and questions). Perhaps "C" for closure reasons?
There are two 'major' changes to V1.2.2
'Remote' comment source
You can now define an external source for your comments, and 'import' them. This means that you don't have to manually copy comments from site to site and PC to PC.
To do this, you click on the 'remote' link; enter the url for your data source; then click on 'get now'.
Inheriting indention when pressing enter
What I'd like to suggest is that if you press enter, the indentation is copied from the line you're coming from, and then automatically put before the next line. This would make it a bit easier to type out code on SO. Of course this would create the problem that people who would want to end their code would be ...
On 2016-02-12, SOOF was renamed to SOX and rewritten by ᔕᖺᘎᕊ and ᴉʞuǝ. The versioning was reset.

Bug Report (status-completed)
Go to a tag page, for example this one.
You will see a question, such as this:
Find the vote and answer count on the left.
Click the vote count.
You will then get a message in the error console that says Post ID not found! Please report this at http://stackapps.com/q/3082/9699
So now I'm reporting it.
Can comment text please be collapsed/hidden by default and only expanded for the currently chosen option? This would work kind of like the 'more info' link in the faq which pops out when you click it. (My dialog is getting pretty big now and this would really help!)
As already said by many others - thank you so much for this script!!
Why not use this to add the button? It preserves the integrity of other buttons, and ensures that a button does not get added twice (for example, when in the review section, it will only add the buttons to the editors which don't have it.
//params: text: text of button
//params: callback: a function which takes id of textarea as argument(...
Know a fix that should be included in SOUP (or an issue that could be fixed)? List it here.
Plans for the long-term future of SOUP 2.0:
Break up the monolithic SOUP.user.js file into multiple files, separating the actual fixes from the framework and metadata. Use a (Perl?) build script to assemble the pieces into the ...
Here's a small and simpler updated fork. It adds only the timeline link:
// @name Stack Exchange Timeline Link
// @namespace stackoverflow
// @description Add a 'timeline' link to Stack Exchange / Stack Overflow posts - based on http://stackapps.com/questions/2047/add-timeline-and-revisions-links/4238#4238
// @include ...
I've made some improvements:
[bugfix] At some pages, the button would not be added: Tag wiki and pressing "Add another answer"
[feature] selected text will now immediately be converted to an APT link
[feature] URLs like http://packages.ubuntu.com/package will now be converted to package (technically, it takes the part after the last /)
Code cleanup: ...
Here is a list of contractions without the apostrophe and what they should be corrected to:
Im I am
This is great. Love it. Thanks man!
Suggestions for additional taglines:
I'm so glad you asked me that, but I have no clue how to solve it. Have a Calvin & Hobbes strip instead!
I have no idea. However, legend has it that reading Calvin & Hobbes strips will increase your problem solving ability so maybe that can help you.
I have no idea. But here'...
Inline tag edit requires 10k rep, but 2k rep is enough to edit questions (therefore, do retags). However, inline API is much easier - you just do the post, which contains tags only. Doing full edit requires accessing postable questions body.
I've done quick modification to your script. It's a draft, but working for me... it activates edit mode, waits until ...
Clicking on the icon won't reveal the comment-box anymore.
One has to click the "add comment" link, for the comment box to appear, then click on the script icon to add the reply signature into the revealed comment-box.
Good idea. There's a few minor niggles, though:
Don't use unsafeWindow, this will break in Chrome and will not even work in Firefox+Greasemonkey if the effective @grant changes.
Avoid leading * wildcards in @includes, if you can help it. This is a big performance hit. @match limits the wildcard scope and performs much better and reports the sites/...
Ok, not a answer but some visuals how to get it going for dummies like me.
Install Greasemonkey (for Firefox) or Tampermonkey (for Chrome) - I'm using Greasemonkey for this post, but it's the same for Tampermonkey -- you will get a new icon on the top right of your menu bar AFTER restarting Firefox.
Install the Script:

I would like to suggest
Add stackapps.com to list of sites
Allow the common "upside-down" unicode characters that have become trendy lately (and some users are using in their names now).
Allow basic greek alphabet, since that also seems popular (lot of math and science symbols are greek)
Diff format, tested and working for me in Chrome:

I see a couple of comments here suggesting that Benjol is thinking of making the Welcome message configurable.
This is a formal request for that feature.
On Skeptics.SE, we have a meta-post which is a Welcome to New Users FAQ, and explains some of the ways Skeptics.SE differs from other Stack Exchanges. I ...
Foreword: I have absolutely no idea what I did.
The above script did not work in Chrome. Therefore, I read through some documentation about user-scripts and found that Chrome does not support unsafeWindow. Digging further, I found this answer where @tghw describes how to mimic the behavior. Combining your selector with the approach in the answer gives a ...
Fantastic addition to the site, hands down. I just browsed for half an hour with nothing but the keyboard.
Took about 10 minutes to get accustomed to the controls
Voting is a snap, and I feel more likely to vote on more answers because I can quickly zip through them without reaching for my mouse
Easier to get a comment or answer started
The only suggestion ...
Not sure which posts you should setup with this script? I made a quick SEDE query to help you find common duplicate target posts for your tag of choice.
TopItems it the max items you want back. Probably good to leave this less than 50.
TargetTag is ...
2 ideas for drastically simplifying some command inputs:
A bare command such as /edit or /delete should assume "the last message I sent". Note that it will not necessarily be the highest id, because that could be one of another user.
Alternatively, if that implementation is too hard, avoiding the id number when the intent is obvious is still a nice idea, ...
