Inheriting indention when pressing enter What I'd like to suggest is that if you press enter, the indentation is copied from the line you're coming from, and then automatically put before the next line. This would make it a bit easier to type out code on SO. Of course this would create the problem that people who would want to end their code would be ...

Feature requests Know a fix that should be included in SOUP (or an issue that could be fixed)? List it here. Future plans Plans for the long-term future of SOUP 2.0: Break up the monolithic SOUP.user.js file into multiple files, separating the actual fixes from the framework and metadata. Use a (Perl?) build script to assemble the pieces into the ...

feature-request status-completed Can you implement some kind of support for those of us who are fine with any pronoun, i.e., have no preference? I realise I could probably write something like don’t/care into my profile, but that would be weird for those who visit my profile and are not aware of this script.

bug Clicking on the icon won't reveal the comment-box anymore. One has to click the "add comment" link, for the comment box to appear, then click on the script icon to add the reply signature into the revealed comment-box.

Not sure which posts you should setup with this script? I made a quick SEDE query to help you find common duplicate target posts for your tag of choice. https://data.stackexchange.com/stackoverflow/revision/909952/1132398/most-common-duplicate-targets-for-a-tag TopItems it the max items you want back. Probably good to leave this less than 50. TargetTag is ...

bug/feature-request status-completed Strip out the http://my.pronoun.is/ portion of the pronoun tag under the username, seeing as how you can't click on it anyway.

Ok, not a answer but some visuals how to get it going for dummies like me. Install Greasemonkey (for Firefox) or Tampermonkey (for Chrome) - I'm using Greasemonkey for this post, but it's the same for Tampermonkey -- you will get a new icon on the top right of your menu bar AFTER restarting Firefox. Install the Script: While you are still logged in to ...

Excellent script, much needed. I adjusted the following to make it work: changed live by $(document).on( 'keydown', 'textarea[name=comment]', function(e) {}) added metakey so it works on Macs (e.ctrlKey||e.metaKey) And other improvements: only runs when viewing a question or in the Review/Task pages. changed @include by @match using a format that catches ...

Bug report (status-completed) It doesn't work for the new Stack Overflow em Português. The following @match entries in the script: // @match http://stackoverflow.com/questions/* // @match http://meta.stackoverflow.com/questions/* // @match http://stackoverflow.com/review/* // @match http://meta.stackoverflow.com/review/* /...

The following performs better: @match is much less resource intensive than regex includes. Not all platforms support regex includes. Run at doc start so that don't have to wait for most of the page to load before redirecting. Use location.replace so that browser history is not filled with junk pages and back button works as expected. All SE sites are ...

bug status-completed Thanks for the script. It's cool and helpful. When I try to comment more than once, the style header binds twice. Can you please fix it. If it's matter: Chrome Version 91.0.4472.77 (Official Build) (64-bit) Tampermonkey v4.13

I forked the script to create some quick-insert buttons. Given how often I make use of this, I wanted to save the extra click.

I did some bug fixing to this and posted it on Github: https://github.com/muru/SEChatSound, and added more sounds. Modifications were only tested on recent versions of Google Chrome, and I don't know the media plugin that SE uses well enough to know if I broke anything.

I adapted the script to add an arrow before any <pre> that contains scrollbars, using the following function modified to account for horizontal and vertical scrollbars. Here's the script in action in some innocent code blocks that have lots of hidden stuff. GIF recorded before moving the arrows to the right. It only runs when viewing a question or ...

Bug Report (status-completed) This script is no longer working as of yesterday (12/20/2018) for me on any SE site, it looks like StackExchange redesigned the voting buttons. Clicking on the score of a post now has no effect whatsoever. I'm using Chrome 71 on Windows 10 if it matters. It looks like this script was broken by the same UI change that made the ...

feature-request status-completed Wrt the <kbd></kbd> insertion, how about this simple scenario: user has Shift+Alt+P and wants to convert it to Shift+Alt+P Current scenario: user highlights all three keys individually and highlights them one by one. Known bugs Browser specific issues Opera Note: These issues mainly apply to older versions of the Opera browser. Since version 15, Opera has switched to the the Blink rendering engine also used by Chrome, so some of these issues may be gone (but some of the Chrome-specific issues listed below may apply instead). More testing is needed. Markdown editor ...

Feature request Please allow disabling of specific fixes; even a textbox that lets me add fix names per line would be helpful. This would let me remove fixes I'd not want applied on a case by case basis. Sometimes, I want to make sure that a specific fix doesn't accidentally make it harder for me to understand another user's view on the site, and sometimes ...

If not available already, can we have a version of that user script applying for Meta Stack Overflow please? We face the very same problem there frequently.

feature-request Add an ability to insert images in comments inline. This is a well-known limitation of the comment box, and there have been multiple requests for this to be added dating back to 2011. Given that the closest workaround we have for it right now is to go to an answer box, insert an image there, then copy the link, and finally paste it back into ...

With the recent network-wide HTTPS switch, the include's should change to: // @include https://stackoverflow.com/* // @include https://*.stackoverflow.com/* Also, in case of editing a question in the review queues, I noticed that the script wasn't working. I ran into a problem, using Firefox ver. 38... The adding of Tags to a new question initiates a scripting error and does not let me add tags. If I turn off the close-reason-editor I am back to normal. When I try to ask new question, and click on add tags, I get the Firefox to freeze with spinning beach ball followed by Error message. This is the output: ...
