hello I'm a 60 year old mother of four daughters, one son and three grandkids, my trade of choice was accounting, a few years ago i went though a patch in my life that turn everything i thought to be normal, into insane, i battle with depression and a mental disorder call associate identity disorder, which left me unable to do the thing i had been doing for almost 30 years, One morning i woke up got a can of house paint and began painting on my bedroom wall, i had never pick up a paint bush before this time, i found myself painting uncontrollably, every thing from trees to figures of women and faces of men, always the same thing just different content, i found that it cleared my cluttered mind, many people who would see it like them but didn't understand the meaning of most of them, later i found out that the type of painting i was doing was call abstract, i just saw emotion that came for a place in me that need to be free. now 10 years later i learn to control my disability with meds, pray,and meditation. and now i enjoy life like i had before, but with the love of painting bestowed in me, i still love the freedom of abstract, but i'm trying to do more conventional work, i never had any art classes, so be patient with me and i hope to become a artist my family will be proud of.
