Eduardo Calleja studied a diploma in computer systems at Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) - Barcelona. He focused his studies in computer architecture (RISC and CISC architectures), data structures, network communications and algorithm efficiency. Eduardo joined an internship programme in the faculty of pharmacy (University of Barcelona) developing web applications in Java and PHP for the quality department. In 2009 Eduardo took part in Giesecke & Devrient, a multinational company specialized in payment methods and IT security. During this period he grew professionally managing projects, analysing customer requirements and developing web applications in client and server side, in addition to different database technologies. Within this last area, he specialized on the optimization of data base queries, user interaction and business intelligence tools (Cognos). He joined Starlab Barcelona as IT Manager in March 2013, taking part in the development of several projects, in particular geographical data display in applications.
