Are you sure you're not getting empty responses due to HTTp 406? Look at this question - stackapps.com/questions/59/keep-getting-http-406

Api-specific tags
@Jeff - add a link on the help page for each API that links back to a tag feed specific for that API. For example, api.stackoverflow.com/0.8/stats/help would have a link to stackapps.com/questions/tagged/stats. A single-click navigation between the API help page and the SA discussions for that particular API.

API key limit increase support
Actually, @Joel does have a point. After all, SE is a for-profit org and the team needs to find a way to monetize their efforts. That point did cross my mind as I was writing my question, I just didn't want to be the first one to put it in writing. :-)

API key limit increase support
Sure. Still, it'd be nice to have that option explicitly listed on the App management page. In fact, it'd be nice if the API server watches apps that hit the limit for certain period of time and sets a flag for the link to be highlighted on the App management page.

What happens if an app becomes super popular?
I opened a feature request for adding support for people to request per-key limit increase - stackapps.com/questions/61/api-key-limit-increase-support

Yes, I am making the request from my corpnet, so you could be right. I also have the ISA Firewall Client, so I wonder if it could be the culprit.
