Thanks! Yes, it perfectly worked. I used the StackAPI and implemented a python script, so first I passed the key: SITE = StackAPI(stackoverflow, key=MY-KEY) , then fetch the data I needed, for an example: SITE.fetch(questions, tagged=python, sort=votes)

If you only want to increase your quota you supply the key found on your app management page and add it to the url as a query parameter: ?site=stackapps&key=YOUR-APP-KEY-VALUE . See also: stackapps.com/a/8972
