well, the files will be in the same place but until the api goes gold and stops moving I can guarantee the functionality. This would be the issue with hotlinking. And I have yet to wire up minification to my build process yet. when I find myself with some time I will build in minification and output files with version numbers that can be linked.
@george - I don't see a problem with having an api specific test post - especially when the user/post count is so low on stackapps. it reduces the load when testing for new/updated qna. see the point?

I anticipate people saying that the site_url is unique. Do you want to use a url as a key? var site = sites["sa"] or var site = sites["http://stackapps.com"]; - you choose. ;-)
yeah, that is weird. i consciously write unobtrusive code. there should be NO conflicts with jquery. in any case, that tidbit will be added as a troubleshooting note in the documentation when it gets generated.
