Abuse potential in API write-access?
Same limits as the normal site I think, as apps and things can be built using HTML Parsers and POST and such stuff. The API should just make it easier, than fiddling around with HTMl or whatever.

Why not provide the site login first? Then when they've logged in through that, show the API auth dialog, which will use the cookies/etc from the initial login, so the user will only have to press acc …

Posting answers via Stack Exchange API
