I teach mathematics at Century College which is a two-year community and technical college in Minnesota. I have been there since the fall of 1992. The previous five years I taught at two different high schools in Minneapolis.
At our college we teach everything from basic mathematics through multi-variable calculus, linear algebra, differential equations, and calculus-based statistics.
I frequently teach basic mathematics, elementary algebra (HS Algebra I), geometry, intermediate algebra (HS Algebra II), trigonometry, and single-variable calculus. I have also taught introductory statistics, college algebra, and medical dosages computations.
I am a member of AMATYC, MinnMATYC, NCTM, and MCTM.
I have served on several committees over the years, most of which dealt with college or departmental curriculum or placement testing.
I am a life-long Minnesotan, except for graduate school. I am a life member of the Girl Scouts of the USA. I worked at Girl Scout camps for about 12 years at several different camps around the country working my way up from day camp counselor-in-training to director of a resident camp.
I have an interest in improving my ability with the Spanish language, and I love taking naps with our two dogs.
