Still wondering what you mean by "verified". The terminology for the green checkmark is "accepted", not "verified"; but there is no guarantee that it is the best answer, or correct at all - it simply means that the person who asked the question decided to tick the box for some reason.
I have been a regular but not very frequent user for the last few years. It worked for me up until a few days ago. My browser history shows successful visits on March 17 and 25 and April 4. (Before that, in January, in this browser instance.) Did you shut it down, or are you having technical issues?
If you are referring to the box with a legend of which keyboard shortcut does what, I was unable to see that at all on a question. I can bring up a help display with ? but neither g nor m display anything for me at the moment when I'm on a question. When an answer is selected, I do see the help modal. (Unable to repro on a question which doesn't have a delete button; there, I do see the guidance modal. Actually, on another question eligible for deletion, I see it too.)
Plagiarizing earlier posts is also a trick used my some spammers. Perhaps these posts could be reported to Smoke Detector automatically if they meet some (probably simple) criteria?
Adding a comment here so you can ping me. Probably ping me, rather than the bot, if you have comments or questions. Thanks to @rene for guiding me in setting up this post.
What would be even neater is if the API could give you stats for a particular point in time so you would not need a user script. (Second-guessing here how the current logic works; haven't examined it.)
The Python ChatExchange library is in use by several bots, including Smoke Detector. The login logic is not exactly easily penetrable, but you might at least try to validate your findings once you understand what you are doing by comparing to the logic in there. github.com/Manishearth/ChatExchange/blob/master/chatexchange/…
