StackApplet — Bringing Stack Exchange Notifications to Your Desktop [1.6 alpha for Windows released using v2.0 of the API!][Large scale rewrite in progress]

Rewrite In Progress

##StackApplet 1.6 Alpha for Windows Available JustI am currently in timethe process of completely rewriting this application from scratch. The code for the API contestold version was an absolute disaster, written nearly four years ago when I first started learning Python. The new version will be written in Python 3 and use PyQt5.

Unfortunately I don't have createda timeline on this new version but a rough guess for an alphaearly release of StackApplet 1would be early July 2014.6 for Windows (it may run on other operating systems but Eventually I only had timehope to test it on Windows)get an actual stable release ready for Ubuntu 14. This version is a complete rewrite of the application in C++10 (using the Qt frameworkUtopic). The /inbox route is now used instead of polling a bunch of routes across all of your accounts, resulting in better performance and more notificationsOctober. Windows builds will be released when time permits.

I haven't had time(I will also add a link to upload the package to Launchpad yet, soproject page on GitHub once I am hosting the installer on my website below:

This is pre-release software, so please let me know if something doesn't worka little bit further into this.)
