I wear many hats at my workplace.
Primarily a Database Developer, but also programmer, web designer, DBA, sysadmin, and general office bitch.
I work for a small custom software house in Sydney, Australia. We use all manner of tools - but mainly MSSQL and a Rapid Application Tool called eDeveloper uniPaaS Magic XPA.

Column 80 - Plain Text optimised SOFU @thejh - do you have a useragent string I can check against? |

RebolBot - a chat bot for the chat rooms It's not going to start spewing Bible quotes or run trivia games is it? Please no... the humanity! Bring on the singularity before another chat bot trivia game... (but on a serious note, impressive) |

Column 80 - Plain Text optimised SOFU Honestly, I hardly remember how this little app works. It might be time for a refresh. The cookies were from memory from an earlier revision that must not have been taken out. |

Deprecating API V1.x @KevinMontrose - I only just saw this now, mainly because I don't come by here much any more. An email or something would have been nice. It's not that big of a deal, but I definitely want my Column 80 app to work on the new sites |

Column 80 - Plain Text optimised SOFU @ObsessiveFOSS - glad I could be of assistance. I haven't touched the v2 API yet (figured there wasn't anything of value for this app to be added, plus their online authentication isn't text mode friendly). But if it ever becomes read-write I will update it :) |

Column 80 - Plain Text optimised SOFU @hhh - you can bypass the warning message, there's a link that says "I'm not going to stop you" - or, use this URL: column80.com/index.php?continue=y |

Column 80 - Plain Text optimised SOFU @hhh - no. The API does not expose these methods, not even the v2.0 API. |

Popularity Contest @Rory - the app was fairly simple, it shouldn't have needed any maintenance but there was a cron job that used to run every few hours to update the stats. Looks like when my web host migrated me to a different server they didn't move the cron jobs. You're the first person to mention it in almost 5 months, so I'm guessing not many people use it ;) I'll see if I can fix it now. |

Column 80 - Plain Text optimised SOFU @muntoo - if you read the description, it's not about being addicted, it's about being stuck in a console session with no other options and you still need to get access to Server Fault. |

Column 80 - Plain Text optimised SOFU @Simon - unfortunately I had to change the system to run on cookies, so once the cookies have expired you'll need to go back to column80.com and start again |

Roadmap - any update?Apps and wrappers have had no publicity or support from the SE team - well, there has been publicity for the API in the form of sidebar ads... |

Popularity Contest @Brian - I try to. My life is hectic busy with a 5-month old son, a 50-hour-a-week job (+OT) and I'm trying to start my own business at the same time so spare time is hard to come by these days. You've caught me at a time when I have a few mins so I'll look into it right now. |

Application marketing ideas Ugh, I hate in-app advertising. I'd rather pay $.99, or even $2. That said, I'm not sure how this applies in any way to what Adam was asking... |

Popularity Contest @Jonathon - the reason IE is listed is because it misbehaves on the CSS position elements, but nice to know that IE9 works. I'll update the "question" once I've had a chance to do the rest of the updates. Thanks for the feedback! |

Popularity Contest @Jonathon - Ohh, right. The image above is from an oooolllddd version that didn't have all the nice clicky buttons. Or lables on the axis. I'll have a look at expanding it to 100% when I get a chance next. It's been a while since I've been back here and I didn't realise there were so many SE sites enabled by default now. |
