I'm a community manager for Stack Exchange, following two years of service as a community elected moderator on Stack Overflow. Beyond that, I'm:
- A husband and dad
- A competent programmer
- A world traveler
- Not a teapot, and I have proof!
I'm still into programming for learning and my own pet projects, while taking on broader participation within the global developer and knowledge seeking communities in general. Wherever people prefer simply helping each other get better rather than just talking about what they do, you'll find me interested.

Column 80 - Plain Text optimised SOFU And for an excellent first search, try "80 column limit" :) |

Can the server side of the API be open sourced? Rip off, borrow or clone - the fact remains that anyone interested in presenting a compatible API could do so without a lot of effort. We've already defined the methods, rooted out methods that did not work well (or were lacking) and put it to the test. Monkey see? Monkey can copy. |

Keep getting HTTP 406 I agree, mostly. There are some cases when HTTP proxies (especially in corporate offices where your browser comes loaded to trust the company CA, thus letting the proxy pretend to be secure.api.stackoverflow.com) also mangle https. Still, that would be a rare case. |

Official IRC channel for stackapps? @Kyle Cronin - That would be nice, perhaps in six to eight weeks :) I plan on collaborating with a few people already working on apps about to go out in the wild tonight / this weekend |
