comment Not a real question – A Stack Exchange game
@Danny No, you can't get reputation from the outside (and this is a completely independent project).

comment Better handling of indentation and the TAB key when editing posts
@KonradRudolph I have given up on installing user scripts directly as Chrome extensions. I use TamperMonkey instead now.

comment How to get data related to Winter Bash?
Two years ago (except that it contained less data because hats were more strictly per-site). It's the API that gets called to populate the hat rack when you click on the "X hats" number on a user profile.

comment Better handling of indentation and the TAB key when editing posts
Indenting yes, but there are other valid reasons for tabbing, e.g. tabular data, lining up comments, etc.

If you select a post and then press "?", does "C" appear in the list of available keys?

Weird. The only difference between the two of us is the Chrome version then. I'm on 36. By the way: meta.stackexchange.com/questions/237166/…

Hmm, works for me. Are you using any other user scripts that may be interfering?

Hmm I was just going to fix this, but I can't even reproduce it. Is it still happening? (FWIW, you weren't the only one reporting this)

Yep, I figured that change would break a lot of user scripts, including that one.

comment Better handling of indentation and the TAB key when editing posts
@joeytje50 What the Esc key is there for -- it cancels the editing. Same as clicking the "cancel" link. Note that I'm talking about editing, not suggesting edits; the latter has no cancel link because it doesn't need one (since it doesn't happen inline, but on a new page).

@joeytje50 Esc already has a meaning during editing, so this is out of the question.

@MartinSchröder You can update now; it's fixed in the new version.

@MartinSchröder Yeah, there's an interference with the Winter Bash javascript. I'll fix that later today.

comment Dude, where's my cursor?
What are the fatal errors? And does it work if you install it directly as a Chrome userscript instead of going through Tampermonkey?

comment Bad format returned by Stack Exchange API, not GZip?
Yes, that's what I said. Of course the JSON is UTF8-encoded. But treating the raw gzip data as UTF8 is what makes no sense.

@JeffAtwood Interesting idea, though I wonder if that's feasible. Mapping a character in a text area to a screen position is pretty much impossible.

@badp As always in Chrome, you have to open chrome://extensions, and then drag the script from the download bar at the bottom onto that tab.
