About

67 yrs. old, married 4X,divorced 4X, two wives (do the math. Twice each) with a variety of experiences in life, personally and professionally.

Occupations;

1. 2009-2012 Cust. Svc. Rep, Chase credit cards.

2. 2000-2009 Owner/Operator, I owned 1 (one) truck and solely responsible for operating. I barely made wages, took 6 years to learn how to make a profit, 3 yrs later, economy tanked, closed the business, filed bankruptcy, and found a job.

3. 1995-1998 Systems Tech, PC End-User Supp.,Network Admin, Email Admin at Clark County Government Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. At age 44, with Y2K looking, I decided, Vegas is NOT where I want to be, December 31st, 1999. I was ready to go. Anywhere. September 24th, 1998 found me in Missouri, with LOTS to do on 27 acres of land.

4. 1990-1994 Asst. Tech. Dir. for Encore Productions, Inc. (Encore Event Technologies). Here, I was tasked with the most demanding responsibilities I ever had. Sometimes I wonder, the stress alone didn't kill me.

5. 1974-1995, Stage Electrician in the Las Vegas Stagehands Union, Local 720. I'd have to write a book to tell it, even partly. It was an exciting, boring, fun, not fun, crazy way to make a living. Age 20 when I began, in '74 and the best time to be alive and living in Las Vegas. While working backstage, I also worked with Dad in the construction/remodeling business, custom built homes, and small commercial buildings.

I was born in Orlando, Florida, the 1st born of 2 average parents, both from Louisville, KY. We moved a lot, but were not military. In 12 years of public school, I went to 16 schools, in 6 cities, in 5 states; Kentucky, Arizona, Nevada, California and Washington, and still learned what was taught, and a lot they didn't. I barely graduated, (my fault, I didn't apply myself) on schedule with my Class of 1971, with my diploma.

I've an insatiable thirst for knowledge and I'm still learning. My love of electronics, radios, TV, telephony, cool tools and technology came from being exposed to it very young by my Dad.

He taught a few other things that helped, too:

There's nothing been done by a man, you cannot do. There's only 1 stupid question.....the one you DIDN'T ask. Show me a man who says "I can't", and I'll show you a man who's right, 100% of the time.

Grandma Reed: Best thing about beating your head against a wall is......It feels so good when you stop!

Waylon Jennings: "Just remember this, Hoss, wherever you go....there you are."

I've always had a curiosity about how things work, and why. The easiest, but not the best, is simply take something apart and see what's inside.

I've lived an interesting life, & it still surprises, challenging me today. Well, it's been fun putting down these thoughts. Hope you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it.

Adios!
