comment Deprecating API V1.x
Excellent summary, this is clearly a broken promise with potentially severe adverse effect on API adoption: I haven't visited the site for a long time and came to look for a library supporting an integration project - sieving through the existing ones mostly surfaced V1 variations and I just contemplated to simply start with one for the prototype (and eventually evolve the library later on), only to find this (fairly odd) deprecation strategy next; and indeed this isn't encouraging for building on V2 either, to the contrary - why do I need to start from scratch now to begin with?

comment Apigee API Console for the Stack Exchange API
@Shanley - Are you going to update the Apigee API Console for the recently released Stack Exchange API v2.0, which specifically includes optional authentication via OAuth 2.0 for a respectively increased user experience as well?

comment Changing the display of the apps tab
@Kevin - btw., kudos for the planned front page algorithm, stuff like that is invaluable to keep developers engaged and motivated and drive the app platform as a whole!

comment Changing the display of the apps tab
@Kevin - hmmh, I see and (hopefully) understand where you are heading to, but am not sure whether a most popular approach is appropriate, case in point: I'm writing a library with a focus on use case XYZ (e.g. XMPP integration), which happens to be implemented in .NET; given this algorithm I'd either need to remove the .NET tag or can't promote the tag featuring my selling point. Of course, the latter will be stressed in the title, and admittedly none of the current listings seem to be affected, but I'd expect that to change once apps/libraries mature marketing wise; well, just my 0.02$ ...

2nd draft: the next most popular tag seems to contradict the self managed "+1 tag" approach above?

+1 - Thanks for finally tackling this (and especially announcing/discussing it upfront) - long overdue ;)

interesting tweet discovery! I wonder why Jeff seems to prefer leaking such API relevant information elsewhere rather than announcing it here first (or at least as well) ...

comment Overflow7 - Stack Exchange sites on Windows Phone 7
+1 for the first Windows Phone 7 app available (assuming no others are in the Marketplace submission queue yet ;) - I suggest adding your introduction video link from your related answer here as well: if I hadn't submitted an answer there myself I'd probably not noticed it!

comment How to get a post title for a given post ID, even if that post ID is an answer and not a question?
Smart hack - given the current roadmap there are quite some requests to be saved still like so ;)
