Stack Alert [Google Chrome Extension] - Keep tabs on your inbox without needing to have a Stack Exchange site open. OK, I had a feeling. Though even if you can't mark it as read with an API call, just having the app keep a local cache of items that have been clicked and marking them as read until the next refresh would be useful. |

Stack Overflow KDE Plasma widget I had the same thought, and actually opened up a project in KDevelop, but I wouldn't count on me getting anything done any time soon. Have you considered hacking on StackTray? It looks promising, and I'm sure Nick would appreciate some help. |
