comment StackApplet - Bringing Stack Exchange Notifications to Your Desktop [1.6 alpha for Windows released using v2.0 of the API!]
Hmm, after installing it I ran it and there wasn't any visible change. (I'm on precise). I also navigated to the stackapplet folder and directly ran python stackapplet.py, but that just did nothing (without any error, and without giving me back the terminal). Any idea how I should run it?

Have a nice new gold badge :) Now, could you make it work again? It's not working atm, and the reviews on the USC page confirm that

Hmm, you're right, some issue with FF/GM. I made it on Chrome, and it used to work on FF. Not sure why it's no longer working, will look into it when I get the time :)

I added a NoScript version: github.com/Manishearth/Manish-Codes/raw/master/StackExchange/… . It should work. Note that you need to allow jquery as well. Let me know what the result is :) [I strongly suspect that it may not work since the script uses iframes, which themselves load jquery]

@jmort253 Yeah, but as a student, it's a bit harder for me to get the $5 fee done (I'll ask for it when I next get home, no biggie). Exactly what's broken in transmogrify?

@jmort253 Oh, I know about extensions, I've written a few for personal use (and I'm writing github.com/Manishearth/ChemistryStackSkin currently)... But I'll have to set up the Chrome Web Store account (I plan on doing that later), it seems to be a not-so-simple process.

@BartekBanachewicz See stackapps.com/tags/script/infofor installation issues. There's a specific way to install userscripts in certain Chrome versions. I was planning on doing the other fixes later, but @nhahtdh fixed it first :)

@Arjan hmm, you wouldn't, really. Unless there's some issues with imgurs resizer for images with a very skewed aspect ratio for m and l as well (there is one for s, need to test the other two). And yeah, the "large" thing makes sense-- I'm not going to alias the "normal size" option with "large" (removes functionality), but I can add a note to this post. And maybe some tooltips or something. Interesting point, though--I'll try to use l for my images from now on :)

@Arjan doing the custom value thing requires me knowing the image size beforehand. Which can be done (in a roundabout way), but it will make the script much slower. Yep, I'd already though about this--along with a few other things requiring the image dimensions--I've planned them for later. I'll make the .jpg change Monday or something. Thanks for the feedback! :)

Added, uninstall-reinstall to get it. I've made it autoupdate as well, so no need to do that again in the future. Thanks :)

Well, many SE sites have mathjax built in soit's easier to just use it. In fact, we convert subsups to mathjax--it's easier to read. Since everyone is using MJ anyway, it's better to make life easy for them. And trust me, these have been extremely useful to me on chem.SE :)

Changes made. Now it supports random delimiters, and also I put everything in a wrapper object.
